Difference Between Broadcasting And Webcasting

With the increasing number of webcasting service providers coming up in Mumbai,  Jaipur, Gurgaon, Noida, and other place parts of India it is important that we discuss this concept  and let everyone know the essentials of it. The rising trend of going online for everything people are also going for online broadcasting which is in a way known as webcasting.  However,  the two processes are completely different from each other.

While  broadcasting is a traditional process that needed help of satellites,  webcasting is a much simpler process that only asks for some computers, an encoder,  and a good speed internet connection. So,  webcasting is much more easier and less expensive as compared to broadcasting. Also,  webcasting is much more systematic when it comes to audience. The  broadcasters never had a choice  to select the target audience but webmasters do.

Also,  when it comes to reach broadcasters had a limited reach because not everyone has the right kind of equipment.  In  the everyone has their own devices that connect with internet which  expands  the reach of webcasting sessions across all parts of globe. Apart from that, it was not possible to watch the broadcasted sessions again and again for a long time, The webcast  sessions can be watched again and again anytime,  any place,  on any internet connected device you want.

Both webcasting and broadcasting serve the same purpose  of disseminating information and promoting messages among common public. The only  difference  is in  the technology  that is used and the final reach of the two.
