Know About Webcasting

Webcasts are audio and/or video content streamed to a large number of people via Internet. The way webcast works is it depends on feed. Webcasting uses so-called push technology in which the Web server allegedly "pushes" information to the user rather than waiting until the user specifically requests it. A webcast may either be distributed live or can be an on demand webcast depending what you require from live streaming service providers.

The term webcasting more often than not refers to non-interactive linear streams and events. Webcasting is also used expansively in the commercial sector for investor relations presentations such as annual general meetings, in e-learning to transmit seminars, and for related activities. In addition to changing the Web for the home user, new Webcasting products offer corporations an organized way to manage information for their intranet users.

The ability to webcast using cheap and accessible technology has allowed independent media to flourish. There are a lot of prominent independent shows that broadcast regularly online. They are often produced by average citizens in their homes and they cover many interests and topics. Webcasts relating to computers, technology, and news are particularly popular and many new shows are added regularly by webcast providers in India. Virtually all major broadcasters now have a webcast of their output. Webcast content network sites can enable users to find content that interests them by searching the site. Webcasting assumes that individually and as corporations, we want our Web to be less chaotic with information sources pre-selected and organized.
